Senior Project Architect - Transportation

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• New York State Licensed Architect preferred.
• Previous transportation experience highly preferred.
• Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
• Able to lead project teams and drive design excellence with strong communication and relationship skills.
• Able to prioritize assignments and maintain schedules.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building program and other similar material. 
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, detailing, materials, and industry associated standards.
• Experience in Contract Administration is an asset.
• Experience in Alternative Delivery projects an asset.
• Proficient use of Revit and the use of it as a design and documentation tool is preferred.
• Experience working with transportation projects is also preferred.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience.
• Registered Architect preferred. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Work is conducted in a studio / team environment in an office setting, working with computers. Encouraging physical movement, each desk is provided with a sit-stand configuration to avoid being sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

The position may be hybrid in nature with a minimum of 3 days working in the Stantec offices and 2 days outside the office.  Communications with your project teams through Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Newforma is expected.
