Senior Project Manager
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum of 10 years of engineering and project management experience successfully coordinating and managing multi-disciplined engineering projects preferably within a production facility environment.
· Experience in all stages of a project from development, including scoping approaches, initial studies, feasibility studies and project definition to final design, construction support, startup, and commissioning.
- Experience managing multi-disciplined engineering projects is preferred.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to client’s business needs.
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- General understanding of multi-disciplinary process, mechanical, electrical and control systems, CSA, and industry standards to ensure scope gaps do not occur.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and 3D design tools.
- Must demonstrate effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
Education
· A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field from an accredited university is required.
· Training in project management from one or more of the following: PSMJ PM Bootcamp or equivalent, PMP certification, other relevant trainings.
· Project Management Professional certified preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
It is desired for this person to commute as needed to the office located in Plymouth MN, however potential for partial or full remote work (but required to be at local client site 3 days per week) is possible for the right candidate.
Indoor (Office Environment) Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting. Noise level varies but generally at levels of conversation. Majority of time spent using a computer/laptop at a workstation and related office equipment. Time spent carrying, reaching, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 9 kilograms / 20 pounds Occasional – 1-33% of shift. Subject to extended periods of sitting; may be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk short to moderate distances to perform work. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment if needed.
