Education and Competencies:
- Minimum of a B.S. in Geology with preference given to an M.S. degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Diverse background in exploration and mining projects, past career focus in field exploration, database management, geologic modeling, and resource estimation.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong QA/QC skills
- Knowledge of the independent reporting requirements under NI43-101, JORC and SEC SK-1300
- Understanding of project related risks
- Ability to develop a strong network in the local and national marketplace
- Exceptional organizational, technical, leadership, and communication skills
- Willingness to work and travel to remote locations for short periods (e.g. two weeks)
- Willingness to obtain QP registration within six months of employment at Stantec
