Senior Safety Case Engineer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Safety and engineering knowledge of pipelines systems and/or facilities/storage systems
  
• Knowledge of the science, tools, and strategies used in pipeline and\or facility integrity management
  
• Knowledge of the techniques and methods used to determine and analyze safety issues of importance and to make a judgement on the safety of a system (e.g. HAZOPS, risk assessments, safety case)
  
• Demonstrated ability to make judgement, without being inappropriately influenced
  
• Strong attention to details
  
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills with well-developed written and verbal group presentation capabilities
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Infographic tools, and Microsoft Word
  
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  
• Experience working within a Safety Case regime, HAZOP and HAZID studies, fault/reliability assessment processes a plus
  
• Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License.
  
• Prior to employment with Stantec, this position will require the successful passing of a drug & alcohol screen. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university or college. 
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive and diverse pipeline, facility, and/or storage industry experience

Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
