Senior Scientist or Engineer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Experience with conducting and/or managing technical evaluations and assessments of renewable energy project impacts (e.g., sound / noise, shadow flicker, glare hazard studies, etc.)
• Experience managing environmental compliance projects in the renewable energy or power utility sector
• Experience with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permitting in the Upper Midwest
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Strong work ethic, high ethical standards and a desire for team success
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Project management experience
• Must possess good driving record and valid license

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in the physical or natural sciences, engineering, environmental science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience with technical specialization and expertise in environmental compliance, impact assessment modeling, natural resource assessments and studies, and permitting.
• Experience in geospatial analysis (ArcGIS), shadow impact modeling (WindPro), sound modeling (WindPro, CadnaA) or studies and/or glare hazard analysis (ForgeSolar) is a plus.
• Project and task management experience is required.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
