Senior Substation Physical Electrical Engineer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Ability to lead a team of engineers working on Substation design including interdisciplinary coordination
Experience with site visits, in order to capture all technical data needed for estimates and execution of related substation expansions
Capable of producing station one lines, key plans (layouts), conduit plans, lightning, grounding calculations, lighting plans, station typical elevations and BOMs
Capable of writing equipment specifications and review vendor drawings.
Ability to develop and maintain good client relationships and be able to demonstrate solid technical ability
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and develop strong internal and external relationships
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Education and Experience:
Registered PE preferred, eligible for PE/P. ENG
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in utility HV substation design
- Experience with site visits, in order to capture all technical data needed for estimates and execution of related substation expansions
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
