Senior Transport Planner
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join our thriving Sydney team to work on a range of exciting projects in Sydney and across Australia. You will be responsible for:
Managing, leading and delivering transport planning projects including but not limited to
active transport strategies,
parking strategies,
integrated transport plans,
precinct master planning
public transport advisory
network studies
transport management and accessibility plans (TMAP)
Working with and mentoring junior colleagues in the team
Support the team and group leaders with resource planning
You will primarily work within the transport planning team both in Sydney and nationally. This will see you work with some of the foremost traffic and transport experts in Australia. Projects vary in size and type which presents a variety of projects and work with a large and passionate group of professionals. Your role will also involve working across disciplines with our transportation team including engineering, design and analytics.
Day to day tasks would involve:
- Manage and deliver a variety of transport planning projects
- Prepare transport planning and multi-disciplinary proposals and feasibility studies
- Provide technical guidance with regards to transport planning and engineering solutions for our clients and contractors.
- Advise in relation to compliance with regulatory requirements, innovative solutions and industry guidelines
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and work with an energetic and motivated team of professionals in a supportive and encouraging environment
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Town/ Urban Planning or a related discipline
- Minimum 5yrs of previous transport planning experience, ideally in consultancy
- Ability to describe complex transport issues in an easy to understand and presentable manner
- Desire to work across multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in data extraction, evaluation and analysis
- Ideally advanced GIS skills and experience
