Your Opportunity
A leadership opportunity exists with Stantec for a highly motivated Senior Transportation Project Manager to join the Transportation group in North Carolina. This role will provide supervision and guidance to assembled project teams assigning tasks, checking work for accuracy and completeness and maintaining schedules.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships that allow us to have a positive impact on the communities we serve and grow our people through work on exciting and challenging projects.
• Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals.
• Lead the development of programs, project plans and drawings for various projects including urban and rural roadways, highways, and intersections.
• Act as project manager for select programs and projects ranging from small to potentially larger multi-discipline transportation planning and design projects.
• Develop budgets and monitor the work of assigned team to ensure quality objectives, budgets and schedules are met.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of NCDOT’s requirements, procedures, and plan production.
• Self-motivated individuals with the ability to work with and/or lead planning and design teams.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others.
• Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
• Understanding of client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related degree.
• Licensed professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in North Carolina.
• A minimum of twenty (20) years’ experience in the planning, design, and/or development of transportation projects, preferably in North Carolina
