Senior Water Quality Specialist
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Understanding of federal and provincial water and sediment quality guidelines, legislation and regulations
- Developing field programs and methods to meet specific project objectives
- Leading field crews for water quality programs
- Developing health and safety protocols for field programs
- Managing and analyzing data (statistical experience is an asset)
- Writing clear, concise and accurate technical reports, environmental assessments and other industry documents
- Leading junior staff in data management and report preparation
Education and Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the environmental sciences (e.g., toxicology, biology, chemistry).
Registration, or ability to register, with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists is required.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience as a water quality specialist, with relevant consulting experience as outlined in the Capabilities and Experience section.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
