Structural Bridge Design Engineer
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have a valid Professional Engineer license.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in the following: designing concrete and steel bridge superstructures, substructures, and bridge components; Structural bridge analysis using CSiBridge, SAP, and STAAD software; Creating drawings and sketches using AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation; performing bridge level 1 steel substructure load ratings and performing load posting calculations for NYSDOT bridges per the requirements of NYSDOT Engineering Instruction 20-026; AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AREMA, AISC, and ACI Codes; NYSDOT LRFD Bridge Design Specifications; design and analysis of vehicular, pedestrian, and railroad bridge Structures; and applying AASHTO and NYSDOT seismic requirements to design and analysis of bridge structures.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 5%.
