Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Interest in working both in the office and the field environment
- Ability to perform outdoor physical duties while doing bridge inspection work
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD and SAP2000, CSiBridge, SFRAME
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Able to work in a team environment and excel in both bridge and multi-disciplined projects
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to mentor the technical development of others
- Works well with minimal direct supervision
- Exercises independent judgment
Education and Experience
- B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil/Structural Engineering, with strong interest and experience in structures, particularly bridges
- P.Eng. status and minimum 4 years of proven experience in design using Canadian codes and design standards
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
