Structural Designer

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and excellent computer skills. The position also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, report preparation, and the ability to work with engineering staff at all levels. Some travel may be required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare complete, concise, and organized engineering calculations and analyses related to medium to large concrete/hydraulic structures associated with dams, tunnels and hydroelectric facilities.
• Experience with EXCEL and/or MATHCAD programs.
• Will be based out of Los Angeles area, but requires willingness to work in a virtual team across offices and occasional project travel.
• Strong willingness to be a part of a large global engineering company, and to work with teams in other offices around the world.

Education and Experience

• B.S. in Civil Engineering. 
• EIT preferred or ability to obtain within the first year of employment. 
• 5+ years’ experience in the design and implementation of large infrastructure. 
• Preferred Specifications: - Master’s degree with emphasis in structural engineering 
• Experience using finite element software such as SAP2000 or other software 
• Previous consultative work experience in structural design for hydraulic structures.
