Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Basic understanding of the general concepts of structural analysis and the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Familiarity with an Industry standard Finite Element (FEM) program (SAP2000 or Robot are preferred)
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate concepts and ideas to others.
- Ability to create and interpret sketches, diagrams, and drawings of various structures.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering or related field. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering or related field, and willing to pursue master’s degree after joining Stantec.
- EIT certification.
- Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
