Your Capabilities and Credentials
As the ideal candidate, you have:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and team centered focus.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in Heavy Industrial or the construction industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
- Familiarity with Excel and Mathcad.
- Knowledge of STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and/or RISA-3D is an asset.
- Knowledge of Abaqus, ANSYS, or LS-DYNA is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and computer skills.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
- 0 to 4 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry.
- A Masters Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering is an asset.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
