Your Capabilities and Credentials
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Demonstrated skill at organizing and planning work within tight deadlines.
- Detailed attention to requirements and ensuring quality work.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and common sense at work.
- The ability to work independently and maintain productivity unsupervised.
- The discipline to maintain required safe work procedures in any environment.
- Experienced at working well in a team environment.
- Strong English verbal and writing skills are required.
- French language skills are considered an asset.
- Ability to travel within Canada may be required.
- Current Driver's license is required.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Familiar with the National and Ontario Building Codes, CAN/CSA S16, A23.3, 086, S-136, AISC and other design guides.
- A working knowledge of Structural Engineering Analysis/Design Software such as: ETABS, SAP, S-Frame, SAFE and WoodWorks is beneficial.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering course work.
