Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination
• Advanced understanding of most relevant structural design and analysis concepts and methods
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
• Knowledge of and Proficiency (preferred) in proprietary structural design /analysis software e.g. SAP, CSI Bridge, MathCad
• Assessment and validation of software calculation results
• Basic understanding of MicroStation and AutoCAD and any other relevant design software
• Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, to engage in creative and critical thought, and to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to others
• Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and other documentation associated with a typical variety of structures
• Be a detailed oriented and highly organized individual that can demonstrate the initiative and commitment to a final professional product for clients
• Self-motivated person with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Design/Load rating software (AASHTOWare BrR, BRASS, MDX, Bently Leap Bridge) is plus
• Must have a good driving record and valid Driver's License.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field with EIT / FE certification.  Two years of experience preferred. Previous co-op/Internship experience also preferred. Master's degree is an asset.

Position will primarily require work in an office setting; the role may require field work as described above.
