Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation.
- Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team.
- Some working knowledge of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Developing ability to effectively discuss project issues.
- Microstation experience is a plus.
- Experience with structural design is a plus.
- Excellent organization, project management and communication skills both written and verbal along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural design. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 0-2 years of professional experience in the transportation or structural field. Previous internship experience in bridge design, analysis or inspection a plus.
- Licensure: Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) designation preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
