Structural Engineer In Training
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Excellent understanding and experience using structural finite element engineering design software such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, RISA, and STAAD. Revit and Bluebeam experience/knowledge is highly desirable.
- Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
- Thorough understanding of structural engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
- Requires proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and demonstrate flexible approach to work assignments
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in technology and to integrate new technologies into daily work processes
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering & EIT designation required.
- Candidates that recently obtained P.Eng. designation will be considered.
- 0 to 4 years of experience preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
