Structural Engineer-in-Training
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought
- Basic understanding of Revit, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool
- Thorough understanding of structural engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material
- Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit; Component Design Software such as Enercalc; Finite Element Analysis Software such as RISA and SAP
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- NCEES EIT.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form concepts and ideas to a diverse audience of architects, engineers, and owner clients effectively.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of structural building codes and requirements.
- Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit).
- Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite).
- Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.).
