Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently seeking an Intermediate Structural Revit Technologist to complement our growing team in Windsor, ON or Toronto, ON. This position offers potential for growth in the areas of both technical and professional development and is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team and work on interesting and complex projects of all scales and market sectors.
As a key member of the structural water team, you will be tasked with the creation of detailed design/modeling of civil/structural water infrastructure projects, such as Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations and collection and distribution systems. This role requires an experienced Revit user who is experienced at managing multiple tasks and deadlines and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Our team regularly collaborates on projects within the local Ontario markets, and across North America. One thing that makes our team so special is the diversity in expertise amongst our peers. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects alongside their team. One week you could be working on small local projects, such as municipal pump stations, and the next week a multibillion-dollar project supporting a global team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work with structural team and technical design staff to prepare 3D models, drawings, schedules, details and sketches from conceptual design, through tender to construction.
- Skillfully work in Revit projects, including maintaining multiple models, creating views, accurate object placement.
- Ensure Revit, CAD Standards, Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production.
- Collaborating with other technical disciplines.
- Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Creates Revit models for new and existing structures compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
- Participates in the maintenance and updating of Revit models during construction
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Required experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Revit
- Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
- Strong collaborative skills for working with single or multi-discipline teams.
- Working knowledge of codes and design requirements specific to local geographic market.
- Knowledge of basic engineering calculations.
- Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro or Bluebeam REVU.
- Experience with wet infrastructure, and structural design associated with water and wastewater treatment plants and collection and distribution systems.
- Experience in following considered an asset:
- Plant 3D
- Bentley Software
- 3DS MAX
- Additional rendering software experience
- Plant 3D
Education and Experience
- An associate's degree or technologist diploma or technical school diploma/certificate in a related program with a minimum of five years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of related CAD/BIM experience with structural design experience and familiarity with concrete and steel construction and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.
