Transport Modeller

This is an exciting time of growth and development in Stantec. We are delivering large-scale regional transport modelling projects and continuing to support a wide base of diverse Clients on a variety of projects.
Calling all Transport Modelling / Analytics Professionals with experience broadly in the 5-to-10 year range who want to be part of our Ōtautahi transport planning / modelling team, develop and grow, and assist in delivering exciting projects. We are looking for people with skills in some or all of the following areas to enhance our team:
· Strategic and/or operational (meso, micro) modelling
· Ideally experience in one or more of EMME, CUBE, Paramics, Aimsun
· GIS, python scripting, and/or advanced MS Excel skill
· Transport data analyses
· Transport model network construction
· Travel demand development
· Model calibration and validation
· Pedestrian, cycling, public transport and multi-modal transport analysis
· Transport model output analyses
· Presentation and reporting of model outputs and transport analyses

Day to day tasks would involve
· Enjoying working with an effective, driven, and inclusive team
· Developing and operating transport modelling software
· Carrying out a range of transport analytics, e.g. from transport model outputs, source data, surveys etc.
· Preparing draft presentation content and draft report sections
· Supporting business development
· Maintain technical and professional standards
· Provide specialist inputs proposals.
· Oversight of graduate team and developing transport planning professionals tasks
· Participation in the supervision, growth and development of Stantec’s transportation professionals

To be successful in this role you’ll need
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
· At least 3+ years and upwards relevant transport modelling and/or transport analytics experience at a professional level.
· Confident and capable communicator.
· Strong technical skills and knowledge, including troubleshooting & independent working
· Advanced time management skills and an ability to work to specified deadlines
· Ability to work within a team of modellers and cross-discipline transport experts
