Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking to hire a highly motivated, ambitious, Transportation Roadway Engineer (EIT). The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway, highway, trail, and transit projects, in urban and rural settings, located in Virginia as well as other areas of the Mid-Atlantic region.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform Roadway, Highway and Trail geometric design.
- Model projects in MicroStation using the latest software (OpenRoads)
- Prepare construction documents and cost estimates
- Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction
- Work with a collaborative group of Stantec experts to meet client expectations.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience in Transportation Engineering: 3 to 6+ years’ experience.
- Proficiency with Microstation OpenRoads (ORD)
- Knowledgeable of AASHTO design manuals and guides
- Familiarity with VDOT Roadway design standards
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) required.
- Professional Engineer’s License (PE) preferred.
