Scope of work
Be part of our Water Team in Auckland consisting of engineers that specialise in stormwater, wastewater and water services. A list of development skills that we offer includes
Create surface 3D models, stormwater catchments delineation and pipeline networks in Civil3D software
Set up hydrological and hydraulic models in EPA SWMM software
Drainage infrastructure sizing (pipes, channels, weirs, orifice etc.) using Flowmaster and HEC-RAS software
Introduction to Council standards, guidelines and typical details and how to incorporate these into engineering designs
Introduction to stormwater treatment devices for water quality urban designs
Introduction to retention and detention designs
Water and wastewater demand calculations to support population growth
Pipe hydraulic calculations for stormwater, wastewater and water supply
Introduction to Digital Execution and BIM environment with multi-disciplinary projects.
Type of projects/clients’ involvement:
- Stormwater to support transport projects for AT, Waka Kotahi and KiwiRail
- Stormwater, wastewater and water supply projects for Councils nation wide
- Diverse water and wastewater projects for Watercare

Who can apply
To be eligible to apply you must:
- Be in your second or third year of study
- Preferably have a full clean current driving licence
- Able to commence work from Monday 23 November 2026 to Friday 12 February 2027
