- Knowledge and understanding of the process, tools and techniques of urban policy development and implementation.
- Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research and analysis skills with qualitative and quantitative data relevant to urban planning and design.
- Proficiency with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong working knowledge of Rhinoceros/SketchUp and/or other 3D visualization software is a plus.
- A passion for placemaking, walkability, sustainability, resilience, and innovation in urban design and planning.
- An understanding of urban form, urban typologies, and best practices in urban design and planning.
- Experience with the production of planning reports and documents and a thorough knowledge and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Location in NYC is preferred.
Education and Experience
- A graduate degree in Urban Design, Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- One to four years of relevant experience.
