Urban Planner
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Knowledge of urban design principles, local development codes, the entitlement processes and procedures.
Knowledge of Land development activities and site design considerations.
Must be eager to learn all facets of planning and development and be willing to help our professional team bring projects from concept to deliverable; this includes everything in between.
Possess good writing skills and be savvy with emerging technology to engage the public, including developing and maintaining project websites, online survey platforms, etc.
Knowledge of development economics are a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
High level of proficiency in Powerpoint, Adobe Suite, GIS, Excel, and Word.
Comfortable working with clients and members of the community/public
Ability to work independently and apply strong critical thinking skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Land Use Planning, Geography, Environmental Services, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred with a concentration in Planning.
A minimum of three (3) years related professional experience.
