Water Resources Engineer
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills;
- Familiarity with fluid mechanics, hydrology, and hydraulic processes;
- Ability to communicate clearly via phone, email, and in person to internal and external clients;
- Passion for water resources, stormwater management and ecological restoration; and
Experience with CAD design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation)
Preferred:
- Rosgen Training – Levels 1 through 4, or similar stream restoration implementation training
- PE (Professional Engineer) certification;
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic models, including HEC-RAS;
- Proficient with ESRI software, including ArcGIS;
- Experience in business development and preparing schedule, scope, and fee for proposals; and
Experience related to storm water management, Low Impact Development (LID) or ecosystem restoration design and watershed assessments.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;
6-8 years’ environmental engineering or science experience including specialized experience with stream assessments, stream restoration design, and stormwater management
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
