- Sound understanding of water, environmental principles, and engineering concepts, including hydraulics and hydrology.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects and adjust to changing demands.
- Highly skilled in common desktop packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.) Strong interpersonal, time management and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to produce robust technical writing pieces (e.g. reports or proposals).
- Previous experience working with municipalities, utility owners or in engineering consulting will be considered an asset.
- A strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure design and construction will be considered an asset.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular business hours when needed.
- Working knowledge of industry-standard hydraulic/hydrologic modelling tools, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D would be an asset.
- Experience analyzing and managing data, interpreting hydraulic/ hydrologic model results and producing clear visuals to demonstrate results would be an asset.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university, preferably in the water resources, and/or environmental disciplines.
- Registered with APEGA as an EIT or P.Eng. (or eligible to register)
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated related experience.
Work Environment
- Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
