Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated experience in project development and management of complex field programs
- Knowledge of environmental legislation as it relates to Western Canada
- Experience preparing environmental assessments/ impact statements and other regulatory applications;
- Demonstrated technical writing skills;
- Willingness to travel for project work to urban or remote locations across Western Canada
- Strong interpersonal and social skills and ability to interact across a broad range of audiences/ technical backgrounds including internal and external clients and regulatory agencies; and
- Desire to mentor and manage junior and intermediate staff (experience supervising people and/or leading teams is an asset).
Education and Experience
Bachelor or graduate degree in biology, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Registration with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists
Minimum of 10 years’ experience
Previous experience in a consulting environment is an asset
Cross training across multiple wildlife disciplines and/or regions is an asset
Vegetation assessment skills are also an asset (i.e., identification and classification, wetland delineation and assessment, rare plants etc.)
