Your Capabilities and Competencies
- Work collaboratively with injured employees and supervisors to facilitate a smooth and successful return to work.
- Show exceptional emotional intelligence and customer service for employees in stressful situations.
- Possess effective communication skills that facilitate successful interactions with employees and supervisors during challenging conversations.
- Maintain exceptional organizational skills and impeccable document and records management.
- Manage and work with external partners, including claims adjusters, case managers, and early medical intervention (telehealth).
- Monitor, track, and review risk, in order to make decisions regarding claim progress, treatment options and appeals.
- Be able to work independently in fast paced environment with ability to prioritize.
- Litigation management experience on assigned claims
- Familiar with confidential document management and HIPAA
- Proficiency with MS Office suites
- Five years or more experience managing WC claims and WC accounts (insurance, legislative requirements) across multiple States (including monopolistic States)
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, Occupational, Health & Safety (OHS), Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work, or other related field of study
- Diploma, certification or designation in Disability Management (CRTWC, CDMP, CHRP), Insurance (CPCU, AIC), or Safety (CSP) would be an asset
