What will you be doing day to day?

  • Use knowledge of general engineering concepts and related/complementary disciplines through investigation and analysis to support water engineering, asset management and advisory projects.
  • Perform field work related to asset management activities as required, including the collection of asset data and undertaking of condition assessments.
  • Conduct data analysis and preparation of graphical outputs to support development of insights to inform Asset Management Plans and Asset Class Plans.
  • Perform basic engineering and financial calculations to assess, analyse and plan water network, asset and business solutions.
  • Support investment decision making via development and refinement of models and tools such as economic analyses models, asset lifecycle models, asset replacement cost models, etc.
  • Apply well-developed report writing and communication skills to assist our planning, asset management and advisory teams in preparing assessments, solutions, reports, and presentations to support project outcomes and delivery.
  • Apply technical skills, critical and analytical thinking, and commitment in a way which ensures project solutions are thoroughly developed, personally reviewed and delivered on time and on budget.
  • Work with other technical and advisory disciplines and professionals in the coordination of projects, under the direction of a Senior Engineer/Consultant or Project Engineer/Consultant.
  • Support the preparation of proposals, including development of basic methodologies to meet client requirements.
  • Invest in maintaining broad, current and evolving technical knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering (with finance, highly regarded). 

     

  • Passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post graduation
