Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Energy group in the Calgary Stantec 25th Street office.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support administrative activities such as health and safety, equipment and office supply ordering, and travel bookings as required
  • Maintain and update organization charts
  • Provide organizational and administrative support for department meetings, project meetings, lunch & learns, etc.
  • Organize social events, meeting spaces, lunches, etc.
  • Assist Management and HR in confidential administrative tasks such as onboarding, transfer and separation of staff
  • Work closely with IT, Facilities and other Stantec service teams to support operational needs
  • Work cooperatively with Admin Team members in all locations, and maintain procedures within the Admin Department
  • Coordinate with other administrative support to complete tasks
  • Ensure awareness of and support management in adherence to corporate policies and procedures
  • Other administrative duties as required

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Visio is an asset)
  • Proficient in Adobe
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an administrative role

Typical office environment working with computers; depending on position, Stantec offers a flexible work environment (a hybrid model of working in the office and at home).
