Integrated Global Working – Water Development Leader (Pune)

NATIONWIDE

 

Due to an internal movement, we are looking to fill the opportunity of the Integrated Global Working – Water Development (Pune) opportunity.

 

The main purpose of this role is to maintain, develop, and expand the capability within Pune Water, targeting all disciplines with a focus on end-to-end project delivery. Work equally with the New Zealand Water leaders and Pune staff to build and foster relationships. Draw on your extensive knowledge and leadership skills to plan and implement strategies to increase the number of full-time equivalent employees to meet the targets set out in the KPIs.

 

A typical day will include 

 

  • Collaborate with regional leaders in New Zealand and Pune to support growth, strengthen capability, and achieve agreed targets. 

  • Develop and implement the strategic plan by: 

  • Strengthening the soft assignee model and relationships between Pune and New Zealand teams. 

  • Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, and resource visibility across all disciplines. 

  • Identifying capability gaps and implementing training and mentoring programs to improve technical development, delegation, engagement, and staff retention. 

  • Promoting end-to-end project delivery and strengthening technical, project management, and client management capability. 

  • Monitor and report on usage trends, capability growth, and progress against targets.

 

To be successful in this role your skills and experience include: 

 

  • Tertiary qualification. Registered as or working towards an accredited professional within your discipline. 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the infrastructure industry. 

  • Proven track record leading teams. 

  • Proficient in strategic planning, organising and executing plans. 

  • Build and develop a professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating and ability to successfully deliver projects. Lead by example in all areas. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to implement training and development programs within your field of expertise and to provide ongoing support and mentoring. 

  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines. Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.

 

The position of Integrated Global Leader – Water Development is a function in addition to an employee’s substantive technical/project contribution role.  This role will require you to travel internationally.
