About the role:
With substantial project wins and an extensive backlog of work within the New Zealand and global business, we have an opportunity for a Principal Hydraulic Modeller covering our wastewater projects. This is an exciting opportunity to help further build our national and global modelling discipline. Stantec globally is known for our best practice in drainage modelling, and our New Zealand team unites this global best practice with local knowledge, to deliver high quality modelling and network planning projects for our clients here and across the world.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Ownership of modelling projects, which will include:
o Model Build, Validation and Calibration of wastewater networks
o System Performance and supporting our civils design teams
o Model Enhancement and Strategic catchment planning
o Option Assessments including nature-based approaches and Solution Modelling
· Mentorship and training of modelling staff
· Leading technical input and support, and reviewing, to the modelling team across Stantec New Zealand.
· Providing key technical advice to clients on projects
· Ensuring that QAQC procedures are followed
· Regular liaison with Stantec staff in other offices to share knowledge and best practice
You will be fluent with InfoWorks ICM (and have a working knowledge of other packages). You will have the ability to lead and deliver modelling projects from a technical standpoint and work collaboratively with colleagues across the globe. You will need to be progressive, have enthusiasm for innovative thinking and be willing to be actively involved in the wider global Stantec network modelling community.
